What We Beleive

At The Summit Academy, our Christian faith is the foundation of everything we do. Our goal is to prepare students to excel academically and athletically while walking confidently in their faith.

Christian
Values
Everyday

At The Summit Academy, our Christian worldview is woven into every aspect of who we are and what we do. Faith is not confined to a single class or chapel service—it’s the foundation of our entire learning experience. Together, these rhythms help us nurture not only strong students and athletes, but devoted followers of Christ who pursue excellence with integrity and compassion.

Though The Summit Academy continues to grow, basketball has always been part of our story—and part of God’s plan. The game itself was originally created by a Christian educator as a tool for evangelism and character development, built on teamwork, discipline, and respect. In that same spirit, we use basketball as one of many platforms to teach life lessons that echo our faith. Just as every player learns to pass, serve, and lead on the court, we teach our students to apply biblical principles in the classroom, in competition, and in life.

Whether through academics, athletics, or acts of service, our goal is to develop well-rounded leaders who honor God in all they do—students who know that their ultimate victory is not in the scoreboard, but in living out God’s purpose for their lives.

Morning Summit Gatherings

Each day begins with our Morning Summit Gathering — a time of unity, reflection, and encouragement. Much like a homeroom or assembly, this daily routine starts with reading a short passage of Scripture followed by a brief discussion. We then move into a time of corporate prayer, covering not only our students and staff but also our families, community, and nation.

We close each morning with school announcements and send our students to class with a blessing drawn from the book of Numbers — reminding them to carry the presence and peace of God throughout their day. These gatherings are essential in helping students grow comfortable reading God’s Word, applying it to their lives, and praying out loud with one another.

Weekly Chapel Sessions

Every week, we hold a chapel service designed to make faith relatable and engaging for students. A speaker delivers a message rooted in Scripture — one that challenges and encourages students to apply biblical truth to real-life situations. Our chapel services are interactive, allowing for open discussion, questions, and moments of reflection.

Each session also includes a call to salvation for students who are ready to take the next step in their faith. On alternating Fridays, we utilize our Summit Sessions to host small-group Bible studies, giving students the opportunity to dive deeper into Scripture, build authentic relationships, and experience the kind of spiritual growth and community that Scripture calls us to steward.

Community Service

Faith in action is at the heart of our mission. Nearly every week, our students participate in local service projects through partnerships with community organizations and the church whose facilities we share. These projects give students real opportunities to serve others, build humility, and demonstrate the love of Christ in tangible ways.

Through consistent service, our students learn what it truly means to be the hands and feet of Jesus, developing compassion, leadership, and a lifelong desire to make a positive impact wherever they go.

Summit Pack Principles

At The Summit Academy, our 11 Summit Pack Principles—Humility, Gratitude, Integrity, Discipline, Honor, Unity, Servanthood, Purity, Perseverance, Courage, and Faith—serve as the foundation for everything we do. Each principle reflects a biblical truth that shapes both character and conduct. Humility mirrors Christ’s servant heart (Philippians 2:3), Gratitude teaches us to give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:18), Integrity calls us to walk uprightly before God (Proverbs 10:9), and Discipline reminds us that self-control produces growth (Hebrews 12:11). We honor others as image-bearers of God (1 Peter 2:17), Unity reflects the oneness of the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:3), and Servanthood models Jesus’ leadership through service (Mark 10:45). Purity points us toward hearts set apart for God (Matthew 5:8), Perseverance strengthens our faith through trials (James 1:12), Courage equips us to stand firm in truth (Joshua 1:9), and Faith anchors all we do in trust and obedience to God (Hebrews 11:1). By living out these principles daily—in the classroom, on the court, and in the community—our students learn to lead lives of purpose, excellence, and Christ-centered character.
